There are five patterns in this little collection. One sweater, the Geraldine Pullover, two cowls, the Bernadine Cowl and the Delilah Cowl, a hat, the Ethel Beret, and a pair of fingerless mitts, the Aida Mitts. They’re all fun to knit, and with the exception of the Delilah Cowl which involves a little grafting, the patterns are all seamless. The Geraldine Pullover comes in sizes from XS-3X, and is worn with 0-3 inches of negative ease. The Aida Mitts also come in sizes ranging from S to L, and because they are fingerless, they should fit most hand sizes.
The whole collection is knit using sport weight yarn on 3.75mm/US 5 needles, so it’s easy to make everything match, and you can use the same skein of yarn to do the colorwork for more than just one pattern. There are seven colors in total used in this collection, and it’s a great opportunity to play around with different color palettes. Unsurprisingly, I went with a rather loud color palette, and I adore how bright and cheerful my projects turned out, particularly the Delilah Cowl.
There’s a lot to say about the individual patterns, so I’m going to break that up into a few different posts throughout this week. You can read more about the patterns on Ravelry, and you can buy the whole collection for $12. The patterns are also available individually and range in price from $5 to $6.50.
