Button Band Time!

I’m so close to finishing this sweater! This weekend I sat down with a glass of iced jasmine-green tea, put on Game of Thrones, and got to work on the button band. I was hoping to get all of the ends woven in and to block the sweater, but I didn’t get quite that far.  I’m also debating if I want to embroider on my initial. I’m not entirely sure if I had the skills to do it so I might end up using duplicate stitch, if I do it at all. I’m having a hard time making my mind up, but I feel like if I’m going to add anything, I should do it before I block my sweater. Sometimes I’m way too indecisive.

I love it, have been thinking and wanting to knit a sweater plain but with another color for outline detail – kinda of like a Chanel jacket – and think this one would be perfect.

Love the whole initial thing like Laverne and Shirley.

Can’t wait to see the finished sweater.

You should totally do your initials! It’ll look very cute. I’m working on my first agatha right now, and I can’t believe how much fun I’m having. Also watching GOT, for the record 🙂

What if you embroider your initial onto some felt, add a pin-back and make it a brooch. That way it isn’t a permanent feature and you have a little more flexibility?

    1. I ended up using duplicate stitch, but I like your idea and might try it in the future. It’d be a good way to practice my embroidery skills without worrying about ruining a project.

  4. that is going to look so frickin trendy. looking forward to the fo

  5. Sounds like the perfect weekend. I think the initial would look super cute!
