Another Hat For My Sister

The first of my Christmas knits! I make my sister a hat most years. I don’t know why a person would need so many knit hats, but she loves them and always wants more so I keep making them!

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do this year because she already has hats with cables and in seed stitch and so on. I asked for suggestions because I couldn’t decide between eyelets and broken rib, and Michelle suggested using both. So I did!

This took no time at all to knit once I decided what to do. I used some Cascade 220 I had leftover from another hat I made Britta, and I used 5mm needles. I knit most of this one night at my knitting group. It was a fun project.

  1. It looks great! I’m glad it worked out.

  2. very pretty hat! Your sister is lucky to have you knitting for her!

  3. Why mess with a good thing. If your sister loves hats, then hats she should have. You’ve gotten off easy. She could love lace weight sweaters.

I do like how that hat came out.

    1. Hahaha! She’s actually been asking me for this fingering weight fair isle sweater for years. The hats are a good compromise.

  4. Perfect! You can never have too many hats.
