Seattle

This past weekend was my knitting group‘s annual retreat, and it was a ton of fun. As always, we went to Port Townsend and stayed at one of the old officer’s houses in Fort Worden. We left Seattle Friday morning and did a bit of shopping in Port Townsend. Saturday was spent lazing about at the house we rented, and then on Sunday we made a stop in Bainbridge before taking the ferry back to Seattle. It wasn’t sunny and warm like last year, but that wasn’t a bad thing! The gloomy rain was the perfect weather for hanging out and knitting, and between rain showers, I spent a little time exploring Fort Worden and visited the batteries. It was a fun, relaxing trip, and I got quite a bit of knitting done.

Please share information on the shawl in your pictures. Beautiful combination. Looks like you had a perfect retreat. My knitting group does their annual beach week in May. Cannot get here soon enough. This has been a long, very cold, winter.

    1. The shawl is my friend’s version of my Nix pattern. You can see her project page on Ravelry here.
