A Little Predictable

I’m getting a little predictable with all of my cropped cardigans, but I just adore them. I thought about making this one full length for about 30 seconds before I decided to start the bottom ribbing. It’s just too cute like this.

Unfortunately, the cable still doesn’t look very interesting. It should spread out nicely once I add the button band and block the sweater, but I wish I could show it off now. This is a very simple sweater, but the cable kept the work from getting boring.

  1. Very cute on you, the cropped ones. I haven’t tried a cropped one on myself. May be persuaded…Lol! I love the bright yellow color too. ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy Weekend.

  2. That IS a great shade of yellow! And cropped cardigans just go so well with high-waisted skirts, it’s inevitable that you’ll make them!

    1. I was just thinking this.

  3. Love that color on you! If it looks good and you enjoy it, why change it? ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks! I just feel a bit like a one trick pony sometimes.

  4. I’m loving the colour and the cropped look so far. I have a few bolero style cardigans, but none cropped to the waist. Is this pattern going to be available to buy when you’ve finished? As I would love to purchase it. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I haven’t entirely decided if I will be publishing the pattern, but I’ve been grading it as I work so it’s still a possibility.

  5. Your sweater looks super! I say when you’re feeling like a full like sweater that’s the time to make one! Besides can you ever have too many that fit and make you smile? I don’t think so!! Love that yellow on you too!

  6. I kept coming back to the same few sweaters I’d made over and over while others collected dust and I couldn’t understand why. Then I really thought about it, and the staples of my wardrobe, and realized what they had in common: short sleeves. I love short sleeved, full length pullovers and cardigans as layering pieces. So don’t feel like you have to justify your love of cropped cardigans. Knit what you love (and will wear)!

  7. This looks lovely on you! I’m thinking of making a cropped cardigan now, you’ve inspired me!

  8. When you find a style that really works for you, why not make one in every color? ๐Ÿ˜‰
I absolutely love the yellow on you, and I think this will make another great wearable sweater.
