I can’t think of a good title.

This color is impossible to photograph accurately, but these photos are a lot closer to what it is like in person than the picture on my previous post. It’s a strange shade of pink, but I’m fond of it. I wanted to make this sweater in a coral color, and this was the closest color I could find. It’s surprisingly hard to find really bright shades of solid color sweater yarn that aren’t red or blue.

I finished a sleeve over the weekend and started the bottom band. I think I might have all of the crochet work done by Friday at this rate! I need to start hunting for a zipper. It’s unlikely, but I’m really hoping that I can find something close to the color of my sweater.

  1. Love this! My first and only crochet cardi was a complete disaster 🙁

  2. Zipper!? I’m starting to totally love this design! That sleeve is fab, and I love the way it’s styled in these photos.

  3. That looks great so far! I am hoping you will have a pattern available when you are finished.

  4. It’s looking awesome so far!

  5. I’ve been searching for the perfect coral colored yarn as well. The best I’ve been able to come up with is a MadTosh color – Espadrilles, although it’s not quite the shade I’m looking for.

  6. I love it so much!

  7. I’ve noticed that about solid colors too. It was frustrating last summer when I was trying to make crafty things for our wedding and I couldn’t find the right colors anywhere! Anyway, your sweater is looking really cute. Can’t wait to see it finished.

    It’s looking great!

I have a YKK color card/book that I can bring on Monday to PurlyGirls if you want. If you find a color you want you can order a zipper from Zipperstop or somewhere.

    1. I’d love it if you brought that! I didn’t have much luck at the fabric stores I went to.
