Day24 Day25
Day 24: Audrey in Unst + Floral Gathered Skirt – Day 25: Marion + Simplicity 1803
Day26 Day27 (1)
Day 26: Hetty – Day 27: Vogue 8766
Day28 Day29
Day 28: Yellow Circle Skirt – Day 29: Myrna
Day30 Day31
Day 30: Marion + Red Circle Skirt – Day 31: Butterick 4685
I made it to the end of May wearing at least one handmade garment every day, but it was a bit of a squeeze. I still need a few more pieces if I really want to wear handmade outfits to my part-time job all of the time. A few of the outfits that I wore to work were a little iffy, and I probably wouldn’t repeat those on office days. I’m working on making a few more things to wear, though. I had hoped to make a dress this month that’s work appropriate, and I got it started, but it turns out that if you add a part-time job on top of a full-time job, it eats into your free time. Who would have guessed?

Hey Andi, I know we are at the end of the month, but I have never seen you look so unhappy(not sure that’s exactly right) about outfits. On the 25th and the 26th, you look like you’d rather do anything but wear these 2 outfits. You always look great…but it is true we are always more critical of ourselves. On the 30th you just look unsure. What, if anything did you feel was wrong, or not quite right? I love the dress you wore on the 26th. I know you have a pink crochet zip cardi, but I thing you green cardi would have looked beautiful with that dress. The sweater you are wearing is one of my favorites and probably would wear it and never take it off.
New Month, New Things… looking forward to seeing what hops off your needles. Oh, and don’t fret, I don’t know anyone who hasn’t worked full and part time jobs at the same time, so I’m sure everyone will understand that everything takes longer and free time seems to be hard to find.
    HAPPY KNITTING

    1. I think you’re reading too much into the photos. For all of these, I took one or two snaps before running off and doing something else, and my goal was really just to document the outfits. Taking a photo of yourself everyday using a timer and tripod AND getting them all to be cute, smiley photos sucks up a lot of time because you have to take quite a few shots, and as I mentioned in the post, I was short on free time.

I wouldn’t be so quick to make assumptions based on a single photo. Day 30 is actually a favorite outfit of mine that I wear all the time, and obviously I liked all of my outfits enough to wear them all day and share them online.

  2. Well done for making it to the end. I’ve enjoyed seeing your outfits and it is nice to see the more casual look with your cardigans as well as with the dresses.

  3. I love your colour and pattern combinations – seeing other people’s outfits in MMM has inspired me to be a bit more adventurous with colour. I am a beginner knitter but have many of your designs on the wish list (currently still working on my first jumper – I think I’ve been working on it for about 3 months!)

Great colourful style! You really know what goes with your type of silhouette. Your collection of cardis is awsome.
