Bright Bright Blue

V_NFC_WIP_right

The upper back of my new sweater is done, and I got to start my right front. I really love how this sweater is coming out, although I’m realizing that I didn’t make the most camera-friendly color choice. But I couldn’t resist this blindingly bright Neighborhood Fiber Co. yarn. As you can see, I’m alternating skeins to avoid any issues with the semi-solid yarn, and that has slowed down my progress a little bit. It doesn’t take too much extra time to alternate skeins, but working with two balls makes this project a little less portable, and my secret to getting knits done quickly is to take them everywhere and knit all the time. I know I don’t have to rush through this sweater, but I’m excited to see it grow.

  1. That is bright, and fantastic!! I can’t wait to see how it looks when it’s finished, either!

  2. This looks an interesting a sweater, possibly a summer one with the mesh and lace? I don’t know why you say the colour isn’t photogenic. It really pops out!

    1. Yep! It’s going to be a summery sweater.

I say the yarn isn’t photogenic because it gets a sort of glow in the photos that it doesn’t have in real life that makes it hard to see the stitches. It also is hard to get true to color photos.

  3. Beautiful color! Looking forward to seeing more of it.

  4. I couldn’t have resisted that blue either! I love it! Thanks for sharing!
