Most of the officer’s houses at Fort Worden are available to rent like the one my knitting group stayed in, but one of the houses was turned into a museum of sorts. The house was built in 1904, and it has been restored and filled with turn of the century furniture to try to recreate what it might have looked like. I was particularly enamored with the textiles around the house and the sewing room. Everything is so gorgeous.

  1. So gorgeous! And oh man, I really want that spindle-y thing for thread.

  2. Oh how cool! I’d love to visit that house one of these days.
