One Skein Sweater

yowza_keyhole_front_FO yowza_keyhole_back_FO After much whining about weaving in ends, I finished my sweater last Friday and today we’re having the perfect weather to wear it! I wanted this to use as close to exactly one skein of Yowza as possible, and I ended up having to rip back the bottom band slightly so I could be confident that I’d have enough yarn for the button band, but it all worked out in the end. Because my yardage was limited and I wasn’t in the mood for lace, I kept the details simple. There are small eyelets all around the sweater, and on the back is a keyhole. This cardigan is exactly what I wanted it to be, and I’m just in love with it.

  15. Beautiful – the keyhole and eyelets are fab details. And one skein?! Mind blown. Will there be a pattern? ๐Ÿ™‚ x

Do you think pattern size 40 bust will use only one skein of Yowza (or is the one skein only for smaller sizes)?

Beautiful pattern! Can’t wait to knit it ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. The pattern is going to come with finished bust measurements of 29 (33, 37, 41, 45, 49, 53) inches to be worn with 1-3 inches of negative ease. The first three sizes all work with one skein. If you go with the recommended negative ease, you’ll be able to do it with just one skein, but if you decide you want more ease and go up a size, you won’t be able to.

I knit myself the 37 inch finished bust and am wearing it with 2 inches of negative ease.

  18. such a perfect cardigan for sunny day with a little wind… I love all your creations so I’ll waiting for your pattern (I must finished my A to Z at first)
