I don’t think I’ll ever be a serious stasher. I’ve had this yarn to make a second version of my colorwork hat sitting on my desk for a while now, and it’s so tempting to just drop everything and cast on! I usually have a few projects worth of yarn hiding around my apartment, but it rarely lingers on in its unknit state for very long time, especially when it’s out where I can see it. I keep thinking about how nice it will be to knit, and I rush through my project so I can move on to the next thing. I think I’m going to start this hat before I finish everything on my needles, though. I have two work projects on my needles, and one has to be done this week. When I finish that, I’m balling up this lovely skein of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool, and I’m casting on!

I don’t see that as a problem :P. If I had gorgeous colours like that lying around I would have already started winding them into balls!

I know the feeling! Plus that bright blue this time of year will keep your eyes open while it’s all gray outside! Good luck staying focused… 🙂

I think I’m pretty similar to you in that respect. I’ve never been a hoarder of yarns, because I’ve always been scared of not buying enough, and I wouldn’t buy a ton just to be sure, because I wouldn’t want to be stuck with the odd bit here and there at the end of a project. I normally buy yarn when I have a specific project in mind.
I love that blue, it is so luminous!
