This was my first full year out of college, and I expected it to be mellow, but it ended up quite crazy. I knit nine garments (and sewed two) making this the first year that I didn’t knit more garments than the year before. That said, I did release 17 knitting patterns, almost doubling how many I had written so far. That kind of blows last year’s four patterns out of the water. How did I get so many more patterns written? Well, earlier this year I started designing full time. That transition didn’t happen as planned, and I never made a big announcement about it in case it didn’t work out or I hated being home all the time, but it’s been my regular job for seven months now, so I guess I didn’t really need to worry so much. 2013 has had a lot of ups and downs for me, and even though it wasn’t too bad overall, I’m hoping for a much less dramatic 2014!

Pro-tip, though…I’m in my second year out of college…And it doesn’t seem like it gets any less crazy. Things just keep popping up when you’re supposed to be the “adult”. ๐Ÿ˜‰

But, it’s fun and awesome! Good luck! ๐Ÿ˜€
