5 Last-Minute Christmas Knitting Ideas

If you’re anything like me, you will have sworn off Christmas knitting, and then changed your mind at the last minute. Here are five of my patterns that are great last-minute projects. They all can be knit in a day or two or less!

First, free on Tuts+, there’s a simple beret with a cable brim, a gorgeous stranded colorwork headband, and adorable fingerless mitts. My sister was kind enough to model those first two for a reshoot I did. Next, for $5 on Ravelry, there’s Bea and Salt. And now I need to get back to my own Christmas knitting! I’m not sure if I’ll get it all done, and I might be sending an I-owe-you out.

  1. I knit salt last year for a gift. Great pattern!

  2. I AM like you! I swore I wasn’t going to knit ANYTHING this year save for one tiny gift for my dad (a coffee cup cozy–because he said he liked them.) And lo and behold one day before Christmas and I’m frantically knitting up last minute presents. Definitely some great ideas you have there.
