Mistakes? Whatever.

The problem with working in pieces is that WIP posts are very boring looking.ย This is the back of what is going to be a short sleeved pull over.

My attitude toward this project has been, “Enh. Whatever.” It’s chock full of mistakes that I’m too lazy to rip back to. You can’t drop a stitch down a few rows in crochet like you can in knitting so I’ve been shrugging my shoulders when I come to mistakes. If I make a mistake on the row I’m working on, I’ll fix that. If I discover one a few rows down, I just make whatever correction I need to to keep the stitch pattern working on the row I’m currently on. It’s super lazy, but honestly, no one is going to notice.

  1. Like you said who’s going to notice. Being Super lazy makes sense to me, you could call it artistic licence. I love the colours and the design.

  2. Yes! my thoughts exactly.

  3. It looks really good, anyway. But you’re right, no one is going to notice.

  4. It’s pleasing to use “whatever”, and just go with the flow. The piece looks stunning and as you said no ones going to notice.

    They’re not mistakes, they’re design features. ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. It’s so easy to get caught up in being a perfectionist when creating. I think letting mistakes go is a sign of your comfort level in what you make. It’s a good thing ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. great theory to work with! love it ๐Ÿ™‚
