Days 2-8 of a Month of Craft Photos

These are the photos I took this past week for A Month of Craft Photos. I’ve been ridiculously busy so a lot of these weren’t taken in the greatest light, but I’m pleased with most of them.

Day 08
tools – an old fo – inspiration outdoors – notions – color – materials – challenge

Days 7 and 8 are the most interesting for me. Day 8 is the graded sizes for the orange pull over I’m working on. I’m not sure if it’s going to be special enough to bother publishing, but it’s easier to do the grading before I start knitting. That way I don’t end up with things like these two cardigans that are really awesome, but only work in one size. Day 7 features some yarn my mom bought me for Christmas. I’m excited to finish with my orange sweater so I can start playing with this stuff.

  1. Knit bunting!? Love!

    1. It used to hang in my room in Lancaster. I don’t have anywhere to put it here so it keeps getting shuffled around.

  2. Oh… gawd. Don’t tell me that about the grading thing. Really? Ugh!

  3. Hi Andi 🙂
I am passing along the Versatile Blogger award to you if you are happy to accept it 🙂 There are some rules to follow…you can take a look at the post where I nominated your lovely blog!

    Happy Knitting!

  4. Ahhhhh!!! I just saw you also love Quince & Co. yarn!!!! Love their stuff.

  5. These are looking great! You are inspiring me to improve my photography (which is necessary anyway).

  6. I don’t see why you shouldn’t publish a pattern when you put some much work into it. There are a bunch of people out there who could see that pattern and say to themselves, “That’s the one.” You never know.

    1. It’s more the cost of tech editing and the time suck of testing and making things pretty that make me unsure about publishing something before I can tell if it is going to be awesome. The pattern writing stuff takes more time and effort than the actual design process of calculations and sample knitting.

  7. I’ve been enjoying your photos, and the challenge! Although, I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t gotten my pictures up on time each day. It’s still fun, though! The garter triangles is my favorite shot of yours so far.

    1. I can’t be bothered to upload them everyday, either. That’s actually why I made a rule in the flickr group about being able to share up to 8 photos at a time so you can get a week behind with uploading and still share.

  8. all of my photos have been taken hurriedly and in the worst light! yours still look pretty great 🙂

  9. I love your photos! My favorite is the one from day 5, the shot is so crisp and clean!
