Simple Knitting

I was cleaning my desk off and I realized when I went to move my Such Flattering Puff Sleeves that I just needed to bind off the back. It had gotten pushed into a corner on my desk and I had thrown my Audrey In Unst on top of it. I had completely forgotten about it.

I’ve just finished the underarm decreases for the front. I know I go through phases with it but, I’m really enjoying working on this sweater again because it’s nice simple knitting. That’s one thing I enjoy about the patterns in A Stitch in Time. They’re not very demanding.

  1. I’m all for a relaxing knit.

And it looks like you are well on your way to another garment!

  2. i love the not very demanding projects! They allow me to always feel like I am making progress! I have heard them referred to as Vanilla knits. I’ve come up with Sorbet knits; these are projects that cleanse my palate between bigger things like sweaters or complicated (for me any way) lace.

I used to rank projects as “TV knitting” and “desk knitting”. The TV knitting was the stuff that was mindless to work on and the desk knitting was the stuff that required my focus.

  3. I always have a simple and a complicated knit in progress. Then if I’ve had a stressful day I have something for autopilot knitting. Your sweater looks great!

  4. I love finding a nearly finished knit! I can’t wait to see this, and Audrey!!

  5. Another getting close to the finish line.
I feel like a broken record here but What ARE you wearing??? A dress?? Its fabulous!! I seriously need to raid your wardrobe!
