Recommended Reading #2

Now that I’m on summer break, I’ve got a lot more blog reading time. I thought I’d ask for new blog suggestions and offer a few of my own. Plus, I figured I was overdue for one of these posts.

Here are some blogs I like:

Do you have any recommendations for me? Feel free to recommend your own blog if you’re not sure if I read it already. (I will admit to being terrible about leaving comments due to knitting while reading.)

  1. Every Friday in June I’m posting links to 25 different crochet blogs that I love so if you have lots of reading time then you might want to start there. 🙂

Some specific recommendations that are crafty (but not necessarily crochet) and that I think you may like: FutureGirlCraft, Bobbin’s Nest Studio, Donna’s Decembers, Merry Makes and Thornberry.

  2. Hello Andi, I’ve been reading your blog for a bit, and I have to say, I reallly enjoy it.
Here are a few blogs I like:
    http://goodknits.com/blog/
    http://michelleclement.typepad.com/blog/
    http://stephcuddles.wordpress.com/
    and
    http://aly-oops.blogspot.com/

And I like my wee blog (even if I update it sparsely).
Good luck with getting more recommendations!

  3. I write a blog, almost daily. I knit/crochet and blog about it…as well as life stuff. I have been reading your blog for a bit over a year. Just wanted to say Hi. 🙂

  4. Bitches get stitches!!! http://bitchesgetstitches.net/

    He’s hilarious.

  5. My favourite blog to read is this one:

    Needled
    http://needled.wordpress.com/

And now I’m going to have to look at all the blogs you and others are listing here!

  6. I just love Jeni’s blog In Color Order. I think we read some of the same blogs, and I’m pretty sure you already read Knitted Bliss and Life on Laffer, right?

  7. Thanks for the blog recommendations! I second Carla’s recommendation of goodknits, and would like to add String of Nothing – http://www.string-or-nothing.com/ – she knits, but most recently she’s been posting snippets from what looks to be an absolutely amazing blackwork embroidery project. Another favorite of mine is Rachel the Elk Biologist – http://timesweareliving.blogspot.com/. Because of her work situation she’s gone a bit quiet as of late, but when she posts the pictures are gorgeous and the stories are fascinating, personal, and unique.

  8. Wow, thanks for the mention! Right back at you.

  9. Wow! Thanks for mentioning my blog, what a pleasure! Well besides yours of course, I’ve been really enjoying these blogs lately:

The Wool and the Gang blog – They share knitting news and the company makes fab knitting kits!
SazMakes – Not only does Sarah knit at the speed of light but she also ventures into quilting and now embroidery.

    Have a lovely week!
