Birdies

One of my favorite things to do in the spring is to go for a walk with my camera and a big latte. This does require some awkward juggling because the camera takes two hands, but I always seem to make it work. I’ve been admiring my coffee cup sleeve a lot lately on my walks. It matches the spring scenery nicely. I thought I’d share the pattern so you can make your own sleeve and have a bit of spring.

  1. That came out great

  2. It’s almost a pity that I don’t drink coffee or tea when I’m on the go. It came out super cute!

  3. This is cute! I usually use a basic coffee mug, and these don’t work so well with the handles. If I am struck with the desire to knit colorwork flat I’ll know where to turn!

Knit the first 1″ in the round, then do the rest back & forth. Add a button and a loop, then you are good to go.

  4. Oh! Wonderful pics 🙂

  5. Great color combination and it looks like a fun, fast project.

  6. Super cute! Thanks for sharing the pattern!

  7. Andi! I am so jealous, I would adore one of these for my coffee cups & it would make me feel proper London or something, trolling round my campus with a beret on (just fantasizing!). Also, I didn’t know that the photo of Kirsten Dunst was from ‘Dick’, I’d been wondering about that, going to have to track down a copy right away! xo

What does it mean when it says “Work Rows”? What kind of stitching do you follow in?

    1. You’re meant to work those rows of the colorwork chart so you’d work them in stranded colorwork.
