Oh, hey! Remember me? I kind of dropped off the face of the blog planet but I’m back. My room is still in the WIP stage. It’s all painted and all of my furniture has been moved in but I still have a ton of stuff that needs to be put away. I’m unfortunately a hoarder so everything has to be sorted through before I can pack it away. I just have too much stuff.
The nice thing about sorting through my old stuff is finding old craft projects. I’m going to try to get some of them nicely photographed so that I can share them with you. One of the things I found was my first FO. Here it is.
It’s your basic garter stitch scarf. I knit it with Lion Brand Jiffy Thick and Quick because I had the patience of a goldfish. I had started other scarves at finer gauges but this was the first one I finished.
I picked the color way out because my mom had been crocheting an afghan for my sister with the same yarn and I got yarn envy. That was lucky because I ran out of yarn before it was long enough and my mom had leftovers from the afghan. We worked on our projects together while watching Lord of the Rings. It was pleasant.
I added fringe because I thought scarves were supposed to have fringe. I knit this in middle school. I don’t think I put fringe on scarves again after this.
