I was all set to tell you about my new pullover pattern for Tuts+ where I’m a regular contributor, and then Knitty’s Winter 2013 issue came out where I also have a new cardigan pattern. Not wanting to choose favorites, I decided to share both with you today and give each their own post later next week. I hope you like them!

  1. I love them both and have already printed them out. Your are one of the designers that just constantly makes me smile/laughter may also be a hazard !:)
The reason I say both is (smart you) are really different sweaters with different uses. The Tuts+cropped pullover speaks to the younger group, although I’m a youngster at 53 and I can see wearing it in the color you chose, for the holidays with a silver sequined skirt. The perfect thing is that if I was visiting family, I’d wear this the next day with jeans and a cute pair of tennis.
The Armande Cardi could go on the same weekend. It might appeal to the older group but I’m with you, this is a great run to the store, curl up with a book, work in the potting shed sweater. Noe I know, cause I asked my 21year old Daughter who’s newly married and she just loves the cardi. Stay away from her, cause as far as she’s concerned she loves even the color. I can also see this as a sweater you can wear with all knids of pants and skirts as well. Of course as you knoe, a lot depends on the year you use and what the finished Cardi’s main jobs will be.
All in all you’ve brought us two great fun sweaters that can be knit before the Holidays and can cover a broad group of knitters! Everyone wins and Smiles all around.
