What to Knit Next

yarn01

I’m getting ready to start a new sweater, and I can’t decide which of my two options to go with! I’ve got some mint green worsted weight yarn that’s destined to be a mostly stockinette pull over with lace details. I also have some sport weight alpaca and wool blend yarn that I just realized matches my hair. It’s going to be a lace and garter stitch v-neck cardigan. I’m going to be starting another sweater soon (more on that next week), and two sweaters on my needles is my max, so I really need to make a decision.Β Both are going to be cozy, warm sweaters, and I’m excited to knit both so I’m having a hard time picking one to focus on. Which do you think I should knit first?

  1. You are SO adorable! I vote mint! Can’t wait to see what you decide.

  2. I vote for the green. Love the color. πŸ™‚

  3. I vote Mint, too!!

    Katie =^..^=

Oh, this is hard for me too! I am really partial to both the colors. However, I think that ruby color will look phenomenal with your complexion and hair. But on the other hand, I really want you to make another pullover and those lace details sound too nice to resist. So, I go for mint!

  5. I vote for the red!

The red! I mean, the green is lovely, but red = autumn, and autumn = coming. So yeah.

I vote for the Auburn alpaca blend. Nice in a V neck cardi to pop on and off as the days start to cool. Here in Oz we are starting to put our thicker wools away and starting ourSpring/summer projects.
    Happy Knitting Everyone

  8. Red. But, that’s cos I’m into red right now πŸ˜‰

    mint!

I would vote for the red as well, red feels more autumnal to me! Do the green in the spring!

  12. I’d do the mint – red, especially red that matches your hair?! Winter knitting..!

  13. Go with the red! πŸ™‚

  14. I’m going with minty green! In fact, I think I’m going to make my very first Miette in a minty green if I can find just the right one πŸ™‚ Wish me luck (for the knitting part as well as the yarn part, this will be my very first proper knit. Ever!).

  15. Mint green because…mint green! <3

Can't wait to see them both, though.

  16. Oh it has to be the mint! The green will go so nicely with your hair and complexion. You, like me tend to favour strong colours, so it’ll also be a nice change to your wardrobe to knit with more of a pastel. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Ps the other colour is also nice πŸ™‚

  17. I like the red. It’s a perfect fall color and you would have a new sweater to welcome the season.

Mint, all the way. And don’t forget about us crocheters too! Waiting on some cool crochet tutorials!

  19. I say mint! It looks so nice with your hair πŸ™‚

  20. I say go with the red – it will match the plaid you are working on sewing up. Save the mint for during the winter, when you’re dreaming of spring.

    I’ll say green. Beautiful colour!!
