Granny Square Mitts v. 2

gsm1

I knew my granny square bunting was going to be way too heavy if I put all of my squares on it so I set aside 8 squares to make into another pair of granny square mitts. I like how colorful these ones are.

The construction is pretty simple. Eight granny squares, a few seams, and an edging. I like making the occasional granny square, but I could never commit to a full blanket so little projects like these are perfect for me.

    What are you hammering?! 🙂

    1. Nothing at all! I never know what to do with my hands when I take pictures of them. I had my took kit out because I was taking apart my laptop so I grabbed the hammer and some nails to play with in the pictures.

  2. Ooh they’re so pretty!

  3. Ohh, I love them. The colors are awesome! I would say they make me hope for spring but it looks like you already have nice weather!

    1. Hahaha! It actually started raining on me when I was taking these pictures.

    1. I don’t think I will. The yarn I used to make them is from an intarsia project so it looks completely different in that project.

  15. Love the Granny Square wristwarmers. They are bright and colorful, just the thing to brighten up a dull, rainy, North Vancouver day. I have lots of scraps leftover so may try to make a pair up and see how it goes.

  16. I love these SO MUCH!!! making them as I type.

Hi! Those are the cutest gloves! I’d love to make some! Do you have directions for them?

    1. I just made 8 granny squares that were about as wide as my hand. I sewed them in a square, and I sewed that in a tube with a gap for my thumb. I single crocheted around the edges to make everything look nice. They really are quite simple to make.
